
Western flower thrips
Scientific name: Frankliniella occidentalis
(Thysanoptera: Thripidae)
Facts: Thrips like this species often feed in flowers. They can be found by tapping the flower head over a piece of white paper or into a box. Thrips are so small they look like a hyphen that moves.
